Brian Barmettler is a commercial litigator whose practice spreads across a broad range of industries, including insurance, employee benefits & ERISA, construction, financial transactions, energy, and trust and estates. Among others, he has represented insurers and insureds in defense and coverage disputes, employee welfare benefit plans in reimbursement adjudications, banks in U.C.C. Article 9 collection disputes, contractors and project owners in construction defect cases, and suppliers and purchasers in U.C.C. Article 2 matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Brian earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, magna cum laude & Order of the Coif. There, he received the Merit Certificate (Book Award) for Constitutional Law; Jurisdiction and Choice of Law; and International Litigation. Brian grew up in Switzerland and moved to the United States in 2012 to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, from where he received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude.
