Josh R. Baumann is a member of the Labor and Employment practice group. He focuses his practice on all aspects of labor and employment litigation. Josh represents employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies at the federal, state, and local level. In addition, he provides advice and counsel to entities to prevent employment-based claims.
Prior to joining Baird Holm, Josh was a prosecutor in the Douglas County Attorney’s office, then went into private practice and handled a variety of civil litigation matters from pre-claim investigations through trial representing health care providers, professionals, political subdivision entities, entities of the State of Nebraska, and other business entities.
Josh received his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of law. During law school, Josh participated in the Duberstein Appellate Moot Court Competition in New York and earned a CALI Excellence for the Future award in Business Associations. Josh received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Finance and Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2025, he was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch® in the field of Commercial Litigation.
