Nebraska Department of Revenue: Taxpayers Must Electronically Pay Renewable Energy Nameplate Capacity Taxes in Excess of $5,000

On December 30, 2020, the Nebraska Department of Revenue issued a Mandate Notice regarding the payment of nameplate capacity taxes for Nebraska renewable energy generation facilities.  Beginning April 1, 2021, taxpayers with nameplate capacity taxes exceeding $5,000 must pay the same electronically.  Failure to do so will result in a $100 penalty.
